Divine Hours

Background
The Divine Hours (also known as the Divine Office or Liturgy of the Hours) is a Christian tradition in which we set aside certain times of day to stop other activities and intentionally engage with God in a focused way. Traditionally various branches of the Church have defined prayers and readings for each day in the liturgical calendar. The Tea Sanctuary community adopts a simplified practice of the Divine Hours as a way to continually invite God's participation in our lives and community and to maintain a unified spiritual focus with one another.

Our Practice
Take 10 minutes at 7am, 9am, noon, 3pm and/or 5pm to focus on God through prayer and Bible meditation. We define a weekly focus, usually consisting of a Bible passage to meditate on, a devotional theme and a community prayer focus. This blog publishes the weekly focus and allows us to share our insights, needs, ideas and prayers throughout the week.
